Established in 2000, the Duval County School Police department has rapidly grown to become the second largest in Duval County. This dynamic department is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors at our schools within the district through various specialized divisions. The K9 unit plays a crucial role in firearm and narcotics detection. The Honor Guard represents the department at official ceremonies and events, showcasing their commitment to tradition and respect. The Community Engagement division focuses on building strong relationships with our schools, students, and residents; fostering trust and cooperation. Meanwhile, the Operations and Patrol divisions are the backbone of the department, maintaining a safe and secure environment in our schools throughout the district. Together, these divisions work in harmony to create a safer and more connected community.
