Providing an Outstanding Academic Experience

In 1981, Stanton became Duval’s first magnet school and has continued to be a public-school success story. Our goal is to provide an outstanding experience by offering academic programs designed to meet the needs of highly motivated and academically talented students while preparing them for college-level courses and giving them the opportunity to earn college credits. Although we are proud of our academic prowess, we balance rigor while also enjoying extracurricular activities and athletics.

Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB)

At Stanton, we provide two programs: Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB). AP is an American pre-university curriculum with core courses available at Honors or AP levels. In contrast, IB is a global program focused on developing six key learner characteristics. Both AP and IB aim to prepare students for college-level courses, positioning them for success in higher education.

Academic Rigor in a Supportive Community

Stanton, home of the Blue Devils, is beloved by parents for its blend of academic rigor and supportive community. Parents value the focus on personal responsibility, the success in AP and IB programs, and the diverse student body. They also appreciate the collaborative bonds between faculty and students, the variety of extracurriculars, and the spirit of Ubuntu. Graduates are well-prepared for college and life, reflecting Stanton’s culture of respect, hard work, and fun!

Helping Students Thrive Academically and Socially

We love our school for its supportive environment that encourages students to thrive academically while enjoying a vibrant social life. Here, we develop skills for our future success. Being part of various clubs has enriched our experience and provided a strong sense of community and belonging. Stanton is a place where learning is encouraged, long-lasting friendships are developed, and a sense of community is valued.
