We have so many students to celebrate, here are more images from our 2nd Quarter Bobcat Awards!

Bobcats: UNF is having a can't miss the Physical Sciences Open House, this Saturday, February 8th from noon to 3 pm in the Science and Engineering Building (#50). Explore the wonders of science! Faculty and students from the Department of Physics, and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, will host tours and hands-on demos. Learn about our cutting-edge research labs, create lightning, view solar flares, and enjoy a frosty treat made with liquid nitrogen. There are fun, educational activities for all ages to enjoy. 2Q awards, continued!

Our Bobcats have been incredible and the 2Q report cards showed how amazing our students are! Here are some of the pictures of the dozens of award winners from all three grade levels!

Reveur House, house of the Dreamers, had a great time celebrating the 100th Day of School! We created Froot Loop necklaces to commemorate, with 100 Froot Loops on them! We counted by 1s, 5's, and 10's to work on those math facts as well!

Bobcats in the extended day program are celebrating Literacy Week by dropping everything and reading!

Hi Bobcats! Just in case we get another round of freezing weather, let's make sure to take care and come dressed appropriately as we don't want our Bobcats getting cold outside at recess, walking to and from school, waiting at the bus stops or at PE! Check out the image so we can ensure proper clothing for our Nation! If you or know someone who needs a winter jacket, please let your teacher or the front office know, and we can assist with finding proper resources!

It will be an evening full of fun activities to inspire a love of reading and learning! After our annual vision screening, we discovered that some of our kiddos needed glasses! Vision is Priceless stepped in and provided our kiddos with free glasses! Now.....We only have eyes for you!!!! Check out our new glasses! We are ready for to read even more books!!

Good Morning Bobcat Nation!!! Our Bobcats are winning everyday! They are receiving a world class education from some of the most dedicated educators in the district! Few reminders about report cards and PM2 FAST state testing. - Paper report cards go home Monday-today. - Please sign report cards and return immediately. You can also access report card details in Focus. However, we decided as a school, that a paper copy is another great way to communicate progress. Signed copies are old school, but it holds our bobcats accountable for their work. This week (Wednesday and Thursday) we have state FAST testing. We need your support. Please give your child a generous breakfast, turn off or take away electronics and have them in bed by 9pm. And give them words of encouragement! Equally important...:BE ON TIME. If they are late they will not be able to test with their class. WE cannot do this alone. Together we can make a difference!! Just a quick reminder that the Dental Bus will be at Don Brewer tomorrow, 1/9/25, Thursday, from 9-3pm. If your student brought home a permission form and returned it, they will receive those services tomorrow during this time. We are having so much fun with all of our classes. The kids are picking out the perfect presents for everyone on their list. Make Up Days Shopping is Scheduled for Wednesday, December 11- Friday, December 13. Students that forgot to bring money or were absent may shop at this time.

Hey Bobcat Nation! Be sure to invite friends and neighbors with elementary-age children to visit us Dec. 7 for School Showcase Saturday. Amazing school experiences are happening throughout our district, and while we may be a little biased, we think the best experience is here at Don Brewer. Dear Parents, We're so excited that our school will be participating in an in-school Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop to spread holiday cheer! Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop is a fun way for students to shop for family members and experience the spirit of giving while learning to earn, budget, and save! Our shop will be open from December 9th to December 13th. Your student will have over 100 delightful gifts to choose from, all ranging in price from $0.50 to $14.50. This is an amazing opportunity to empower your student to choose, purchase, and give gifts to their loved ones! Happy Holidays!

Don Brewer Elementary School cares about the community. The DBE Thanksgiving food drive collected over 400 items of food to donate to our local food pantry. Way to go kids!

House Day!! Another great day of uniting as a family! All 4 Houses pledge to be bully free! Bobcat Nation is on a mission to make everyone feel welcome because we ALL belong!! This month we also made holiday cards for our troops and retirement homes! I’m so proud of our Bobcats!!! House of ALTRUismo Leaders Roar with pride!! December House celebration will be epic! House leaders met with the principal to plan out a day of reindeer games!! Stay tuned!!

Reveur, the House of Dreamers, had a fantastic time working on cards for the soldiers overseas! Our House leaders will continue to work hard and assist everyone during the year and will be featured before Winter Break!
