Hello Atlantic Coast Junior and Senior Families!
The junior class will be presenting this year’s Prom on Saturday, April 12th, at Deerwood Castle (7601 Centurion Pkwy. Jacksonville, FL. 32256). We cordially invite you to attend Atlantic Coast’s most elegant affair of the year. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the dance will last until 10pm.
Here is some important information regarding the event:
Tickets will be sold online ONLY at dcps.schoolcashonline.com until April 8th (or sold out).
Tickets will not be sold at the door the night of Prom.
Tickets will be $85. Only seniors and juniors attending Atlantic Coast may purchase tickets.
Formal dress is required – Dresses should be appropriate for a school function. Suits with ties or tuxedos will be fine. Those who wear suits/tuxedos will not be allowed to remove their shirts during the dance. If anyone has a question about acceptable attire, please contact Ms. Leon.
Prom court nominations will be from Monday, March 31st – Friday, April 4th. Students will promote themselves on campus the following week with voting taking place at the dance. See Ms. Solomon in room 104 during all lunches or after school only for nomination.
Planning on bringing a guest? – Guests may be underclassmen or a student who attends another school – however, guests must be no older than 20 years of age and the guest will only be admitted at the door when you enter. The ticket buyer must present their ID at the door upon arrival, along with the Prom tickets. Your date must also present a picture ID. Guests enrolled in another high school or home school must have an administrator from their school sign and affix the school’s stamp or seal. (attached) – All others must be approved by administration.
How do you purchase a guest ticket?
Seniors and juniors attending Atlantic Coast may purchase only one additional ticket (at the same price as their own ticket). Dates must be no older than 20 years of age!
Current ACHS students in 11th/12th must purchase their own ticket online.
If your guest is an ACHS student in 9th/10th grade, see Ms. Solomon in room 104 for an additional ticket to be added to YOUR online account.
If your guest does not attend ACHS, an additional ticket will be added to YOUR online account once the proper paperwork has been submitted. (processing time is 24-48 hours)
Attached to this post is the prom permission slip and outside guest form. These papers were distributed via your students ELA/English class before Spring Break. The deadline to turn in these forms is next Friday, April 4th.
