Established in 2010, Atlantic Coast High School was founded on the belief that all students should be held to rigorous academic and behavioral standards and that all students can learn, grow, and find their stride. When you come to our A-rated school, you will find that students and staff enjoy working together as a team. Our pride in each other and our school is like nothing else you have ever experienced. We provide a safe, fun place to learn, grow, and discover who you are, and students are given the freedom to lead, make mistakes, and find themselves. Students develop leadership, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving — all of which will take them anywhere they want to go in this world.
As an AP Capstone school, we provide a rigorous curriculum that prepares you for college and beyond. We also offer six cutting-edge career technical education programs giving students hands-on experience and skills to excel in today’s job market: UNF’s Teaching pathway, Mayo Hospital’s Nursing pathway, Computer Programming, Video Game Design, JEA’s Engineering pathway, and Digital Video Technology.
Yes, our athletic programs are fun, but they are also designed to teach teamwork, problem-solving skills, and reduce pressure and stress. There is a sport for every student at Atlantic Coast: band and color guard, baseball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cross country, fast- and slow-pitch softball, flag football, football, lacrosse, soccer, Special Olympics, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, weightlifting, and wrestling.
There’s something for everyone here: commercial art technology, computer science classes, digital and multimedia technology, driver’s education, engineering and technology, English as a second language externships, learning outside the classroom, a first-rate chorus performing on the national stage with renowned musicians (such as Foreigner and Eric Church), fine arts and dance, exceptional student support, game and simulation development, gifted and talented classes, health sciences, PE, driver’s education, information technology, industry certifications, web design, TV and video production.
