The Atlantic Coast High School choir program hit all the right notes at the District 4 Florida Vocal Association (FVA) Choral Music Performance Assessments (MPA) this past weekend, with both the Stingray Singers and the Atlantic Coast Chorale earning straight superior ratings.
This outstanding achievement qualifies both groups for the Central State FVA Choral MPA, which will take place next month in Lakeland, Florida. The superior ratings are the highest distinction possible at the district level, reflecting the choirs’ exceptional vocal technique, musicality, and overall performance.
“This is a huge accomplishment for our students,” said Ms. Carmella Turner, who has worked tirelessly to prepare the singers for this moment. “They have put in countless hours of rehearsal, and it’s amazing to see their hard work pay off.”
The FVA Choral MPA evaluates choirs based on their ability to perform challenging repertoire with precision, emotion, and technical skill. Earning superior ratings across the board is a testament to the dedication of both ensembles and their commitment to excellence.
With this success, the Stingray Singers and Atlantic Coast Chorale will now take their talents to the state level, where they will compete against some of the best high school choirs in Florida. The upcoming competition in Lakeland provides an opportunity for the students to showcase their skills on a bigger stage and continue their tradition of excellence.
Congratulations to the Stingray Singers and Atlantic Coast Chorale on this well-deserved achievement! Stay tuned as they prepare to represent Atlantic Coast High School at the state competition next month.
