Hello Stingray Nation,

There are only two weeks left before the end of the quarter. Students and parents make sure to check your current grades by logging into the Focus portal. Reach out to individual teachers with any questions or concerns and take care of any missing assignments in a timely manner. The end of quarter three will be here quickly, so let’s finish strong Stingrays!

All requirements must be met and the application must submitted by August 31, 2025.  For more details and to access the Bright Futures Application, visit: floridastudentfinancialaid.org.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application is also open. Colleges and Career schools use the FAFSA form to determine how much financial aid you're eligible to receive, which could include grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. To apply, visit: studentaid.gov.

Stingrays! The Course Selection process for the 2025–2026 school year has begun. School counselors will meet with students individually to select courses for the upcoming year. Before their meeting with the counselor, students will attend grade-level scheduling assemblies. At the assembly, students will receive an updated School Resource Handout, a draft copy of the Course Request Card, the Atlantic Coast Course Progression, and the Course Description Guide to help them prepare for their one-on-one meeting with their school counselor. The draft Course Request Card must be completed prior to the scheduled meeting, which will be arranged through the students’ English classes. Parents, please review and discuss your student’s course options and selections. During the individual meeting, counselors will use the draft Course Request Card to finalize the official Course Request Card, and students will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
