JACKSONVILLE, FL – February 2025 – The voices of Atlantic Coast High School’s talented vocalists soared at the Florida Vocal Association’s Solo & Ensemble District Competition, earning high marks for their outstanding performances. Competing against some of the best student vocalists in the region, the Stingrays showcased their dedication, skill, and artistry, bringing home a mix of Superior and Excellent ratings.

The competition, known for its rigorous adjudication process, evaluates performers on elements such as vocal technique, musicality, and stage presence. Receiving an Excellent rating is a mark of high achievement, while a Superior rating represents the highest level of performance excellence.
Analiz Cedeno and Addison Stapleton had an especially remarkable showing, not only receiving Superior ratings for their solo performances but also earning a Superior for their duet—a testament to their vocal chemistry and teamwork.
Atlantic Coast Choral Director, Ms. Carmela Turner, expressed pride in the students’ hard work and success. “Each of these singers put in hours of practice and preparation, and it truly paid off. Their passion and commitment to their craft were evident in their performances, and I couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments.”
