We hope that everyone enjoyed their long winter break and look forward to welcoming you back on campus tomorrow morning. As a reminder, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 6th, will be an A-day.
Tomorrow is the first day of the second semester and all students need to log into their Focus account tonight and check their schedules to ensure that we are all reporting to the correct class tomorrow morning.
We will have a MNM day, or a morning of no movement, for testing next week on Wednesday, January 15th. 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the FAST ELA PM 2 and Juniors will take the PERT or FAST Retake. Please make sure students are present that day with their laptops fully charged and ready for testing.
Graduation for the Class of 2025 will be on Friday, May 23rd, at 1pm at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. For more information about graduation, caps and gowns, grad bash and more, check out the digital senior update at bit.ly/achs2025.
Reminder for Graduating Seniors: FAFSA and Bright Futures Applications are Open! Seniors planning to attend college or university must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to apply for federal financial aid. Access the application at fafsa.gov.
Bright Futures Scholarship:
Step 1: Complete the Bright Futures application.
Step 2: Work on meeting the required criteria for eligibility, including GPA, Community Service, Work Hours, and Test Scores.
Important Deadlines:
May 1, 2025: Submit your Community Service or Work Hours to your School Counselor by this date.
August 31, 2025: Complete the Bright Futures application and earn qualifying test scores.
Please note: You may submit the Bright Futures application before you meet all the requirements and continue working to fulfill them.
