NEW! Homecoming Dance Information

Friday, December 13th, 7pm – 10pm

***You must have your student ID with you to enter the dance***

Tickets:

November 22nd – December 11th: The ticket price is $30 (SchoolCashOnline)

IF TICKETS HAVE NOT SOLD OUT…

December 12th & December 13th until 2pm: The ticket price will be $40 (cash only in room 104).

NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOORS TO THE DANCE! YOU MUST PREPURCHASE A TICKET TO ENTER THE DANCE!

Outside Guests:

Outside guests must fill out a form to attend the dance.

  • Guests must be a current high school student (grades 9-12) to attend.

  • Guests are required to have a student ID to enter the dance.

  • If the guest’s school does not provide IDs, a drivers license or passport will be accepted.

Forms are available on the ACHS website, in your DCPS student email, or in room 104. This form MUST be signed by an administrator at your guest’s school, PLAN AHEAD!

These forms AND A PRINTED PHOTOCOPY OF THEIR ID are due to Ms. Solomon by 2:00pm Friday, December 6th.

Only ACHS students who have submitted an outside guest form on time will be allowed to purchase an additional ticket.

Homecoming Dress Code:

This dance is semi-formal.

  • Shirts must have a collar and a tie is preferred.

  • NO jeans

  • NO shorts (including athletic shorts)

  • NO house shoes, crocs, flip flops, gym/tennis shoes

  • NO overly revealing dresses allowed.

  • Sneakers in good condition will be allowed.

You must have your student ID with you to enter the dance. All outside guests must have their ID, turned in the form, fully filled out, to Ms. Solomon in room 104 by 2:00pm by Friday, October 4th. Contact Ms. Solomon (solomonr1@duvalschools.org) and/or Ms. Norris (norrisc1@duvalschools.org) if you have any dress code questions.

Homecoming Court Voting:

Students can vote for royalty from your grade level to be on the homecoming court during all lunches from December 9th – December 11th. Winners of 9th, 10th, and 11th grade courts as well as the top 4 nominees for 12th grade will be announced on Thursday, December 12th. Voting for King, Queen, and Sovereign will take place during the homecoming dance and the 12th grade winners will be announced towards the end of the dance. Seniors must be present at the dance in order to win.

Ray Rally:

Thursday, December 12th from 3:30pm – 5:30pm with live music, food, games, and more! Bring your class pride; it’s going to get pretty rowdy out there! Admission is $1 per person, and everyone is invited (students, teachers, family, alumni, etc.).

Themes:

  • Monday- Merry Morning Monday | Holiday PJ Day

  • Tuesday- Ugly Sweater Day

  • Wednesday- Flannel and Frost | Wear flannel tops, pants, or socks!

  • Thursday- Santa is coming to TOWN! | Elf ears, santa hats, and festive socks

  • FridayWinter Wonder White Out

  • Dance- There’s No Place Like Homecoming

***Your entire face cannot be covered***

Discipline Reminder:

A student who commits a Class III or IV violation, described in the Codes of Student Conduct, shall forfeit the right to participate in student activities (EX: all Homecoming activities up to and include the dance). School Board policies and procedures regarding assignment to alternative centers shall apply to students who commit a Class III or class IV violation. See Dean Tiller, Dean Hicks, Dean Moses, AP Ross, or Principal George if you have any questions regarding this policy.
