There is no school tomorrow, Monday, November 11th. We will see you all back on campus on Tuesday which is an A-day.
The next meeting of the PTSA is this week on Tuesday, November 12th, at 6pm in the media center. Everyone is invited to attend.
Just a quick reminder that the Federal Impact Aid Survey was released through the parent portal in FOCUS on October 28th to all families. We are requesting that parents/guardians complete the online survey for each school-aged child in their household by December 13th. Thanks for your continued support!
The Mayor’s Youth At Work Partnership’s Spring 2025 session will provide Duval County students with a paid work experience for up to 15 hours per week from January to April. In addition to the job placement, students also receive access to workforce development training, a job coach to guide them through the program, a VyStar bank account, direct deposit, and financial education with the chance to earn badges. The MYAWP team places students in job opportunities based on their interests, school schedules, extracurricular activities, and location.
To be eligible students must be:
16 - 21 years old
enrolled in a high school, GED program, technical school, university, or college in Duval County

It’s that time of year again, where Atlantic Coast will be hosting Instant Decision Day on Thursday, December 12th from 7:30am-2pm in the auditorium. All applications MUST be submitted to the college/university by Friday, December 6th, one week prior to the event. For interested senior students, registration information can be found in the Counseling Office, English 4 classes, US Government classes, or Economics classes. Also, information will be posted on the ACHS website, Morning Rays, and ACHS Counseling Instagram page. Please review the admission requirements (GPA, test scores, etc.) for each school of your choice and complete their application prior to the scheduled event. For applications of colleges that you will complete the day of the event, please bring your fully charged laptop. If you have any further questions concerning this event, please feel free to speak with your counselor.
Senior families! This is the final week to purchase an ad in the yearbook at the discounted price of $200. We only have a limited amount of space left available and the price increases on November 16th so don’t wait! Reach out to Ms. Lakatos if you have any questions.
