Atlantic Coast High School is thrilled to announce its upcoming Acceleration Program Showcase on Monday, December 2, at 6 PM. This event will spotlight the AP Capstone program, an innovative educational initiative aimed at enhancing students’ critical thinking, research, and communication skills.
The AP Capstone program includes two yearlong courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. These courses challenge students to explore complex topics, develop evidence-based arguments, and collaborate effectively, preparing them for the rigors of college and beyond. Participating in this program not only strengthens academic skills but also enhances college applications, making students more competitive in the admissions process.
During the showcase, parents and students will have the opportunity to meet with faculty, delve into the curriculum, and discover how the AP Capstone program integrates with other Advanced Placement (AP) courses offered at ACHS. This is a fantastic chance for students to learn how they can excel academically and personally through this rigorous program.
In addition to the AP Capstone, ACHS offers a variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways, including fields like nursing, engineering, and computer programming. These programs provide practical experience and prepare students for successful careers in today’s dynamic job market.
