School Time Change

An important email that could impact school start times was sent out by the district on Wed 1/29. Please complete the survey to provide your input!

email Dear Team Duval,

Duval County Public Schools has opened a survey inviting stakeholders to share feedback on new start times for district schools. The survey is part of an overall strategy to align with House Bill 733, which will require the instructional day to start no earlier than 8:00 a.m. for middle school students and no earlier than 8:30 a.m. for high school students by the start of the 2026-27 school year.

District leaders presented multiple scenarios for new start times for district schools during the School Board’s Jan. 14 workshop.

To learn more about the premise behind the new law and how the district is working toward compliance, read our Team Duval News Article.

To provide your input on the new school start times, you can complete our survey by visiting this webpage. The survey will remain open until Feb. 14.

Emergency Contact Information As always, our top priority is to support you and keep you informed, especially in times of need. Please take a moment to update your emergency contact information. In the event of an emergency, it's crucial that we have accurate details to ensure your child’s safety and well-being. If a parent or guardian is unavailable to pick up a student, we want to make sure we can release them only to the appropriate caregiver.

Panda Store Donations Needed! - Please support our Panda Store. We are encouraging families to send in donations of chips, juices, popsicles, and individually wrapped candy to help raise funds for our schoolwide incentives this year. All donations can be brought to the front office or sent in with your student labeled Panda Store Donations. We appreciate your support!
