LaVilla Middle School of the Arts Anime Club
When: The first Tuesday of each month, 3:30 – 4:50 pm
Where: LaVilla Media Center
What: Snacks, movies, art, games, cosplay, skits.
Transportation: All students must be picked up in the bus loop no later than 5:00 pm.
How: Sign up sheets will be posted outside of room 211 one week before each meeting. Each meeting is limited to 30 attendees.

Lavilla Black History Club
Club Objective: Students will learn about African American culture and history through on-going participation in various school and community activities and events.
Meetings: First and third Thursday of each month 3:2504:50, one day dedicated to club activities and one day dedicated to academics. (Days to be determined at initial meeting)
Past Events: Black History Month Activities, Black History School Assembly, Book and Blanket Drive for Elementary Schools, Black History Month Breakfast, Black History Choir (Performed for Medtronic and Lavilla Showcase)

Friday Club is a faith-based club with a long history at LaVilla.
Students meet every Friday 7:45 am-8:15 am in the media center to share their faith, meet friends, and have fun.
Area youth pastors and LaVilla students lead Bible studies and praise music.

What is Mathcounts?
Mathcounts is a club for gifted and advanced students who love math and desire to explore more advanced concepts. Our members are called Mathletes.
Who can come to Mathcounts?
Students will be invited based on teacher recommendations.
When and where does Mathcounts meet?
Mathcounts meets every Thursday from 3:30 – 4:45pm in room 213. A snack is provided.
Is there a Mathcounts competition?
YES! In the spring, we take a day off from school and compete at UNF against other local middle schools. If we qualify for the State competition, our team gets a trip to Orlando to compete against other schools across the state of Florida.
