Greetings Parents,
This is a reminder that your student will participate in Mile Maker Friday, April 25th, during the below scheduled times. I would like to invite you out to walk/run with your student as encouragement as they complete the mile fitness test. Be sure to park at Harvey’s and walk over to Andrew Jackson’s track. You will sign-in at the track. You MUST be on time to walk/run with your student. Once their grade level has returned to class, they will not be allowed back outside.
Kindergarten- 8:30 – 9:15am
1st Grade- 9:20 – 10:05am
2nd Grade- 10:10 – 10:55am
3rd Grade- 11:10 – 11:55am
4th Grade- 1:05 – 1:50pm
5th Grade- 1:55 – 2:40pm
In addition, Kona Ice will be on site for students during this time. Please see the flyer posted on Thrillshare.

Parents,
Please do NOT drop students off before 8:00am. When I pulled in this morning at 7:45am, there were students running around wild and out of control. A parent tried to intervene and ask them to stop; however, they continued. I parked my car and asked them to stop and again, they continued. Cars are turning in and a student can easily be hit. If students are not dropped off before 8:00am, we won't have this safety issue. Thank you for your prompt attention to this safety matter.

Greetings parents,
Many parents cut the permission slip that was sent for Mile Maker and the basketball game. The basketball game is tomorrow (deadline has passed to send money) and Mile Maker is scheduled for 4/25. Mile Maker is NOT an option for students; It is a part of their grade. The purpose of the permission slip was for you, the parent, to come and walk/run the mile with your student.

We have 20 days until state testing. I have visited 5 classes this morning and at least 1-2 students have been ASLEEP in all 5 classes. The other students are working hard and preparing for the state assessment. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ensure that your student goes to bed at night. The teachers are doing all that they can to prepare students for the assessments, but we need you to help us with your student.
Next week is "assistant principal's week". Please allow your student to participate as we celebrate Ms. Lee, our assistant principal!

Today began "state testing" and I have students just arriving at 9:30am. These students will NOT be allowed in the testing room tardy.
Parents, I am begging you to please get your student to school on time for the next 2 months. It is imperative that ALL students test or remediate daily.

Good morning parents, TOMORROW is Early Dismissal. ALL students will be dismissed at 1:00pm unless they are in the after school program, Team Up. Please be on time picking up students. Bus riders and walkers will be dismissed at 1:00pm as well. If you have your student down as a walker and you come up to get them, please know that we do NOT hold walkers. We dismiss them to walk; walkers, walk!! Again, please be on time picking up your student. Have a Magical day!!
