Good afternoon parents and guardians. Lakeshore students' report cards were published to FOCUS on January 13, 2025. In accordance with DCPS policy, report cards will only be published to FOCUS for parents/guardians viewing. If you would like a hard copy of your student's report card, you must request it in person. Going forward, Lakeshore will adhere to district policy in reference to electronically publishing report cards and progress reports. Thanks for all you do to support your student.

Be Safe. Be Seen. is taking place January 21-31. This initiative is crucial in educating our students about pedestrian and bicycle safety, helping them develop lifelong safe habits.
This resource provides important tips on roadway safety and serves as a great way to extend the safety conversation beyond the classroom and into the home.
Be a “Roll” Model for safe behavior--ride and drive safely around all traffic.
It’s not enough to tell your child what to do, especially when your behavior
is different. Your child learns and follows your actions.
Wear your bicycle helmet every time you get on your bike. Your helmet
should fit level on your head and low on the forehead, sit securely on the
head and be buckled.
Follow the rules of the road when walking, riding a bicycle, or driving a car.
Be courteous and respectful and “share the road” with other road users.
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Avoid honking at a pedestrian or cyclist; honking does not show courtesy
and it can be dangerous. Honking can frighten a pedestrian or cyclist and
cause him/her to crash.
