Dear parents/guardians,

Happy Sunday Patriots! I am going to get this out before kicking off today! Go JAGS, beat the Packers. We had an impressive week here at JSMAL.  It was spirit week. A huge shout out to Ms. Wilson for organizing the week that came with a bunch of dress-down days, a pep rally, and a dance. Our cadets looked great and showed a great deal of team spirit!

Thank you to all the eighth-grade parents who came to our High School Transition Night! We had nine high schools present. I did speak with the principal of Frank H. Peterson, and she wants to come out to JSMAL and speak directly with our eighth graders. She apologized profusely for not being able to get representation out to our event. The magnet window opens this year on December 1 and closes on January 31. If you do not select a high school for your cadet, during this window, your cadet will automatically be enrolled in your neighborhood high school. I am attaching school choice information if you still need guidance on choosing the best high school for your cadet.

November 1st is a school day. Before the hurricanes, it was a weather day, so make sure you send your cadet to school. We also have Heiken Mobile Vision unit coming on this day. 35 of you preregistered for this so please ensure that your cadet is in school this Friday if you planned on using this service for free exam and glasses if needed.

In school field trip coming soon! Iceman Game fieldtrip November 14, 2024.

Field trip must be paid online at schoolcashonline.com

This in-school field trip is for students who have zero referrals, and a minimum GPA of 2.0

The lines to purchase the "concession" tickets are usually long and cadets will miss most of the game waiting in line. No bags allowed. Transportation will be Duval County buses.
