Dear parents/guardians,
Happy Sunday Patriots! YAY, the JAGS brought home a great win from London today. We had a fantastic week ending in a great attendance celebration for our cadets who come to school every day. We had a cookout with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, candy and fun outside from 1:30 to 3:00pm. At morning formation, I raffled off twenty $20 gift cards. Thanks to Community First Bank who donated $1000 to the school for being September’s School of the Month. We also had a wonderful turn out at our movie night on Thursday. We do have a big week this week starting tomorrow with Croc Day. This is spirit week for JSMAL. See the attachment for the theme of each day and the dance information on Friday.
Parents of 8th graders – Transition to High School Night is coming October 24 to JSMAL. Mark your calendars. We will have eight local high schools represented. This is a night not to miss! We want to arm you with all the information you need to make the best choice for high school for your cadet.
November 1 is now a regular school day - You are all aware that the storm did force the district to close for two days. To meet instructional requirements, we will need to make up one of those days. Friday, November 1, 2024, originally scheduled as a weather day, will now be a regular instructional day. We will have two more school days because of this week and hurricane Milton. February 14 and May 30 will now be school days instead of weather days.
