Duval County Substitute Teachers & Paraprofessionals

District and School-based Administrators
School-based administrators provide leadership focused on increasing student achievement and closing the achievement gap through recruitment, retention, and support of top talent, creating positive school culture, and leading effective instruction.

District-based administrators support schools in a variety of ways, both operational and instructional.

Support Personnel
Support Personnel jobs include clerical, maintenance, instructional support, and other specialized positions and are under the Civil Service classification.  These positions are open to the public and advertised on our applicant website. Qualification requirements can be viewed by clicking on the job title. Some positions require passing a test.

Paraprofessional
Paraprofessionals are an important part of DCPS school communities and directly support students in schools. Qualifications vary according to the type of position; passing examination scores or college credit are required for all schools.
