The Sports Medicine Magnet offers a unique educational experience to students who wish to pursue a career in the field of medicine. Utilizing a "sports focus", students learn the foundations of anatomy and physiology, nutrition, athletic training and medical assisting. Upon graduating from Andrew Jackson, students have the entry-level job skills needed to successfully pursue continued education and/or careers in many of the various medical occupations. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on experience and rigorous critical thinking skills in our state of the art facility created to provide the best educational experience. This program also enables students to meet high school graduation requirements with the opportunity for industry certification in Certified Medical Administrative Assistant.
