Sales Surtax (Half-Penny) Oversight Committee
Following through on its commitment to accountability, the Duval County School Board formed an independent Sales Surtax Oversight Committee (Committee) to monitor the District's spending of the new half-penny sales surtax funds. The link above contains information about the Committee including, but not limited to, its members, meeting minutes, and reports.
On November 3, 2020, voters approved the half-penny sales surtax to support the renovation and rebuilding of Duval County's public school buildings. In an effort to support transparency and accountability, the District created an interactive dashboard which displays current information about the half-penny funds received and how and where they are being used.
