Westside’s AICE Program

What is the Cambridge AICE Program?

The Cambridge AICE Program (Advanced International Certificate of Education) is an international academic acceleration program for the independent, advanced learner. The Cambridge approach helps to develop learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged. The hallmarks of the program include a commitment to individualized learning, advanced academic curriculum, and written assessment program.

AICE Diploma Requirements

In this program, students take AICE courses in grades 9-12 and can earn an international diploma. Learners must achieve a minimum of seven credits (including Cambridge International AS Level Global Perspectives & Research) from subject groups 1, 2, and 3 (and optionally Group 4).

The Benefits of AICE

Cambridge qualifications are recognized by the world’s best universities, giving students a wide range of post-secondary options and is the equivalent to first-year standing at many colleges and universities. Students have the opportunity to earn over 18 college credits and an international diploma.Students who earn the AICE diploma, and have 100 community service hours, automatically receive the Florida Bright Futures Academic Scholars Award. Students who complete the Cambridge program’s curriculum, but do not earn the AICE diploma can still earn the Academic Scholars Award with appropriate SAT or ACT test scores.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Successful completion of Algebra 1 by August 1.

  • Minimum Level 3 on Grade 7 FSA both in Reading and Math.

How to apply
