Welcome to the 2024 AP US History Course!  Your task is Period 1 The Pre-Columbian Era.  You will need to access YouTube (possibly from a non-DCPS computer) and follow this link.

While watching the video on Period 1 you will want to take notes paying special attention to various ways Native American populations adapted to their environments and made civilization in the Americas possible.  

You will need to familiarize yourself with the various groups that settled in North, South, and Central Americas, their environmental adaptations, in addition to the reasons for European exploration: what made it possible, their interactions with the natives, and how that interaction changed life not only for the Natives but also for the Europeans.
