Parentally Placed Private School Services Consultation

Duval County Public School District Local Education Agency (LEA) holds multi-program consultative meetings with non-profit schools and parents in preparation for the school year. During the consultation meetings, an overview of how services and supports may be provided to the eligible students with disabilities enrolled by their parents with non-profit private schools is discussed.

PRIVATE SCHOOLS PURCHASING INSTRUCTIONS

PROPORTIONATE SHARE IDEA FUNDS (RC# 503499)

The following purchasing instructions should be used if you have student(s) with disabilities who need specially designed instructional materials, assistive technology, or specialized equipment to access the learning environment.

STEP 1: Identify the specific instructional material, technology or equipment needed to support the identified student(s) with disabilities.

Example: Mindplay Virtual Reaching Coach to address John Smith’s, Toby Johnson’s, and Blake Carter’s identified reading deficits.

STEP 2: Acquire a quote from a DCPS approved vendor. (No on-line quotes will be accepted.)

STEP 3: Complete and submit the Private School Purchase Request form with Quote to Elizabeth Salter at Saltere@duvalschools.org

STEP 4: When items are received from Purchase Order, email the invoice and packing slip to Natalie Feaster feastern@duvalschools.org.

IMPORTANT PROCESSING INFORMATION

ORDER DEADLINE: MARCH 3, 2025

  • All purchase requests must be submitted by March 3, 2025.

  • Once a request is submitted and approved, processing begins.

  • Allow 45 days for your purchase requests to be processed into a purchase order.

  • All packing slips and invoices must be signed and submitted no later than May 23, 2025.

  • If an order cancellation is requested, please notify Elizabeth Salter and Natalie Feaster via email as soon as possible.

  • Any ordered items not received by May 23, 2025, will result in cancellation.
