Dr. Spinner is an accomplished educational leader with a robust academic background that includes a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida, a Master of Arts in Teaching Educational Leadership from Jacksonville University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the science department.

Dr. Spinner has held several significant positions within the Duval County Public Schools system. As the current Director of K-12 Science, she leads efforts to enhance science education, supervises curriculum specialists, and manages professional development initiatives. Her previous roles include serving as an elementary school principal and an assistant principal at various schools, and high school science teacher.

Dr. Spinner is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Florida Association of Science Supervisors, and the National Science Teaching Association. She has also co-led multiple funded projects, securing significant grants for educational initiatives, including STEM education and arts-integrated reasoning.
